This weekend's fishing trip is centred around the township of Noojee, concentrating on the Latrobe, Toorongo, Ada and Loch Rivers.
Noojee is approximately 2hrs from the club rooms, and we'll meet at the Noojee Pub (411 Mt Baw Baw Tourist Rd, Noojee VIC 3833) on Saturday 26th of November at 8:30am. Google maps link below:

The Latrobe is the main waterway in the region. The best fishing in the Latrobe is above Willow Grove with access points along the highway. The Toorongo is a tributary of the Latrobe and can be accessed by turning off the Mt Baw Baw tourist road (C426) and taking the Toorongo Valley Rd.
The Loch is another tributary to the Latrobe, and can be accessed from McCarthy Spur Road and points along the Loch Valley Rd.
The Ada enters the Latrobe near the area of Gentle Annie, before Noojee. Access is along the Ada River Rd.
The rivers generally hold good stocks of both browns and rainbows in the 20-35cm size range with the odd larger fish always a possibility. General attractor dries such as a Stimulator or Royal Wullf work well.
If it is windy, a Humpy, large Red Tag or Geehi Beetle can be a winner. A hopper pattern used as an indicator holding up a Copper John, Bead Head Pheasant Tail or Hare and Copper can be an effective set up. If you intend to fish later into the afternoon have a couple of PHDs and Elk Hair Caddis patterns in your box.
