At the time of writing we once again find ourselves in lockdown, with restrictions on travel putting an end to any ideas of going fishing (unless you live within 5km of a lake). It is extremely difficult to plan any event with certainty in the current environment and we have had to postpone the 50th anniversary dinner. However, on a brighter note, we have re-scheduled to NOVEMBER 27th at the same venue.
I would like to thank the sub-committee for all their hard work and look forward to celebrating our belated 50th Anniversary dinner. Unfortunately, our One Fly Competition at Tranquil Rises is also postponed. We will review the syllabus and decide if there’s another suitable window for this event. The opening of the fishing season for rivers is on 4 September. As like previous years, we will open the season with a trip to the King
Parrot Creek. Further details will be posted closer to the time. This is another great day and I encourage members to try and make it. Growing and maintaining our membership is high on the committee’s agenda and I would like to welcome our new members to the club. If new members have any questions about the club or up and coming events / trips please don’t hesitate to contact myself or any other committee member. The Committee will communicate via email and Facebook so please keep an eye out for any posts.
Cheers,
Alan Staton
